About

Tommy

Hi.  I’m an undergraduate student looking to go into neuroscience research in the future.  I’ve also always loved technology & tech news (I was a TechTV junkie back in seventh & eighth grade – ah, the good old days..).  I was that kid that got an iPod before anyone knew what an iPod was, and now I’m that guy that brings tech and neuroscience news into everyday conversation with the assumption that other people care.  But some of them (inexplicably) don’t.  Go figure.  Anyway, I thought it might be a better idea to find a more appropriate place to talk about the things I love.  You’ll find discussions of interesting new journal articles and tech stories, reviews of products I buy and tech or neuroscience books I read, software & hardware recommendations, and miscellaneous thoughts about science, open access, academia, and the tech industry.  As our technologies improve, neuroscience research will be able to proceed faster than ever, and as our understanding of neuroscience improves, we’ll be able to create all sorts of new and exciting technologies we can’t yet imagine.  I hope you enjoy my writing, but if not, feel free to offer any constructive criticism.  I don’t anticipate everyone will agree with me, or be interested in what I have to say, but I appreciate your input.
